Streetline Automotive
Return & Warranty Policy
Updated September 16, 2026
This policy applies to repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, and parts provided by Street Line Automotive. It should be read together with the customer's estimate, work order, invoice, and any written parts warranty.
1. Estimates and Authorization
Customers may request a written or oral estimate before work begins. Street Line Automotive will obtain authorization before performing additional work when required by applicable law. Approval by text message, email, phone, electronic acceptance, or signature may be documented on the work order.
2. Labor, Diagnostic Fees, and Refunds
Charges for completed labor, diagnostic testing, inspection, mobile service or travel, disposal, shop supplies, and other services are final once performed. These charges cover time and services already provided and are not returnable. A refund may be issued for a verified billing error, duplicate charge, or another reason approved by Street Line Automotive in writing.
3. Returns of Uninstalled Parts
A shop-supplied part may be considered for return within 14 calendar days of purchase only when Street Line Automotive approves the return and the supplier accepts it. The customer must provide the original invoice, and the part must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, unpainted, complete, and in its original undamaged packaging.
- Supplier restocking fees, return shipping, and any nonrefundable supplier charges will be deducted from the refund.
- Installed parts, electrical or electronic parts, opened sealed items, fluids, chemicals, gaskets, seals, custom parts, and special-order parts are not returnable.
- Deposits for custom or special-order parts become nonrefundable after the order is placed, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
4. Installed Parts and Parts Warranties
Installed parts are not eligible for a standard return. A claimed defective part will be handled through the applicable warranty process. Shop-supplied parts carry the written warranty, if any, offered by the manufacturer or supplier and identified on the invoice, packaging, or separate warranty document. The manufacturer or supplier controls the warranty term, exclusions, required documentation, and approval of the claim. Street Line Automotive may require the vehicle and failed part to be inspected and may require the failed part to be returned to the supplier.
5. Street Line Automotive Workmanship Warranty
Street Line Automotive warrants its workmanship for 90 days or 3,000 miles from the invoice date, whichever occurs first. This warranty covers only a failure directly caused by an error in the labor Street Line Automotive performed. If a covered workmanship issue is confirmed, Street Line Automotive's remedy will be to correct the affected work without an additional labor charge. Parts are covered only under the applicable written parts warranty. A warranty correction does not restart or extend the original warranty period unless stated in writing on the invoice.
6. Labor for a Defective Shop-Supplied Part
If a shop-supplied part is confirmed defective and the supplier approves the claim during the 90-day/3,000-mile workmanship period, Street Line Automotive will perform one removal and reinstallation of the approved replacement part without an additional labor charge, unless the invoice states otherwise. After the workmanship period expires, the customer is responsible for diagnostic time, labor, mobile service or travel, shop supplies, shipping, and other charges even if the replacement part remains covered by a manufacturer or supplier warranty.
7. Customer-Supplied Parts
Street Line Automotive does not return or warrant parts supplied by the customer. If a customer-supplied part is defective, incorrect, incomplete, incompatible, or fails, the customer is responsible for all diagnostic, removal, replacement, and reinstallation charges. The workmanship warranty still applies to a confirmed installation error made by Street Line Automotive, but it does not cover the failure of the customer-supplied part itself.
8. Warranty Exclusions
Warranty coverage does not apply to:
- Normal wear, routine maintenance, adjustments, or consumable items.
- Damage caused by abuse, neglect, misuse, racing or track use, overloading, collision, theft, vandalism, weather, road hazards, or improper towing.
- Failures caused by overheating, low or contaminated fluids, poor-quality fuel, battery or charging problems, or an unrelated vehicle system.
- A customer-supplied part failure, an improper prior repair, or modifications, tuning, or aftermarket systems that caused or contributed to the problem.
- Damage made worse by continuing to drive or operate the vehicle after a warning light, unusual noise, leak, overheating condition, loss of oil pressure, or other unsafe symptom appears.
- Work that another person or shop altered, removed, or repaired before Street Line Automotive could inspect it, when that action prevents a fair diagnosis or correction of the claimed issue.
9. How to Make a Warranty Claim
Stop operating the vehicle if continuing could cause damage or create an unsafe condition. Contact Street Line Automotive promptly and before authorizing another person or shop to repair the claimed issue, unless emergency circumstances make that unreasonable. Provide the original invoice, current mileage, a description of the symptoms, and reasonable access to the vehicle at a safe agreed location. Street Line Automotive must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect, diagnose, and correct covered work. If the concern is not covered, any diagnostic or service charges will be discussed and authorized before additional work is performed.
10. Limits and Customer Rights
Unless Street Line Automotive agrees otherwise in writing, this policy does not cover towing, storage, rental vehicles, travel, lodging, lost wages, loss of use, or incidental or consequential damages, to the extent such exclusions are permitted by law. A cash refund is not required when repair or replacement is available as the warranty remedy, except when required by applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy that cannot legally be waived. Any different or additional warranty must be written on the estimate or invoice and approved by Street Line Automotive.
11. Policy Acceptance and Incorporation
This policy does not require a separate standalone customer signature. It may be incorporated by reference into Street Line Automotive estimates, work orders, invoices, payment links, and receipts. When this policy is provided or made available to the customer before service, the customer’s authorization of work—including approval by text message, email, phone, electronic acceptance, or other documented authorization—confirms acceptance of these terms. Payment or acceptance of the completed vehicle acknowledges receipt of the final invoice and applicable policy terms. Nothing in this section waives any right that cannot legally be waived or replaces any estimate, authorization, disclosure, or notice required by Ohio law.
